![]() ![]() I sent you the 3 BOFF training manuals so you can train up the Elachi in Paradox Bombs because it's a drop in the bucket EC wise to me.ĭon't salvage anything. Dismiss Zarva if you have to, it's trash and replace it with the Elachi. It's like 340,000EC to train your BOFF into Temporal specialty, then another 5k or 10k for the power. Sci captains get a bunch of AoE powers so most of my ground BOFFs have that power to suck all the enemies into a squishy little ball. There's a ground version of the power called Paradox Bomb you can train your captain and all of your BOFFs in. I can email you some upgrades when you need them. Don't bother with Basic or Advanced tech upgrades. It has enough tech points applied to reach at least mark VII at which point you apply another Superior (gear-type) Upgrade. The gear I emailed you should be upgraded (right click on it to do that) not discarded or salvaged. While leveling up it's fine to either discard or salvage instead of bothering to make a trip to a vendor. If you sell at a vendor you get 40-50% depending on the vendor. If you discard something you get credits, 40% of the value. That's only worth doing for gear you plan to keep, not for any of the stuff you're going to out-level soon. For example a beam array might have an accuracy boost which is semi-useless, so you can pay to re-engineer it to something better like critical hit damage. You use the salvage points to re-engineer a piece of endgame gear to change one of its modifiers. If you "salvage" gear you get 2 things: R&D crafting mats and salvage points (currency). You can space the tribbles too, but no payment for that. A Tactical bridge officer can't take a crew station that is designed for a Science officer.įood and tribbles: you can right-click on food to discard it and get a few credits. Also, ships have Stations that can only be used for certain careers. You would need to dismiss one of them to make room for someone else.īe careful who you dismiss since they will be gone forever. Do you have any rows marked as available ("no officer" I think)? If you've been letting all the new bridge officer rewards you got from leveling up, the answer is probably not. Later on at endgame you can use one of your free respecs to optimize it for your play style If you put 1-2 points into all of the skill choices you'll have a Jack-of-all-trades build without needing to give it any thought. Notice that you get the most value out of the first point in a skill. You get a few leveling up but after that it costs cash money to buy more tokens. The Skill tree costs "respec tokens" to change. You can do this in safe ground zones (Spacedock, Academy) and in space outside of the story episodes. Traits (on the traits tab) can be swapped freely for free. You can right-click on the box later on to activate it / commission them to active duty.ĭid you pick a tactical, science or engineering career? ![]() Click on NOT NOW to keep them sleeping away in their stasis box. When you get a new bridge officer as a mission or level up reward, the person will ask if you want them to join your active crew. Right now you might not have any free slots. It also shows how many available / unused crew slots you have. The top-right of the skills / powers tray has tiny buttons to let you add more rows as you get even more powers, and re-arrange powers on the tray (by dragging powers from the pop-up window listing all of them).įor your Orion: The U key brings up the status window, which shows your crew and ship on the left side. For your powers on the skill tray you can use 0-9 or click. You can move using the mouse or keyboard, try both to see which one you prefer. I don't use shooter mode myself, I just spam 1 (normal) and 2 (alternate attack) to fire at my current target, which you can set or change with the TAB key. You can use the ESC key to close things and then (once things are closed) get to settings for things like key binds. I'll send you an invite tonight if no one else gets to it first. ![]()
